We built BOB University for the very busy stylist who is often juggling work, family life, and more. We want you to have maximum flexibility to learn on your time schedule. Currently, there are 13 hours of viewing lessons. That’s a lot, but if you did 1 hour a week it would be complete in a little over 90 days. And that’s just one hour a week. Double it and now you’re complete in just 6 weeks. What you want to consider is taking time to practice the new skills. These are meant to be easy to acquire and easy to implement, so you can start using these new skills right away. Tuck your learning into small pockets of your week and watch your confidence grow!

Our certification is optional. You can choose to pursue the certification by taking all of the tutorials, and then testing out at the end to earn your certification. Or you can choose to simply follow along at your own pace and never test out. We of course think you should test out to show off your new BOB U Certified status, but you can choose if that works with your schedule and your needs.

Certification is included in your BOB U cost. If you choose to certify, you will want to go through all of the BOB U video content and then follow along with the submission schedule (listed in the BOB U portal). Every two weeks you’ll submit a short video of a requested haircut. Then at week thirteen you’ll submit a final video. You may be asked to fix or adjust things with your haircuts if needed. The goal is to make sure you are proficient at the techniques and overall concepts. You will have unlimited attempts to correct your submitted work. Certification will then be issued. Certified stylists will receive a “BOB U Certified” cling vinyl to place on their mirror at the salon, along with a certificate. Certified stylist will be featured on the website along with their chosen contact information, so clients who love BOB U can find you. More info is provided inside of BOB U

The content is designed for both new stylist and seasoned stylist who needs inspiration. We cover foundational skills all the way to more advanced skills, but the information will build on itself so you’ll feel confident as you move through the tutorials. The best part is, that Ray will host a weekly live class where he will break down concepts, help anyone who’s struggling, and provide new inspiration to keep you excited! There's a ton of information all over the internet, but finding info here and there isn't structured enough for serious learning. This is for the practical stylist who wants to take their skills to the next level with techniques that you’ll actually put into use in the salon to grow your confidence, your clientele, your referral list, and ultimately your revenue.

1- Built-in progress check-ins: You’ll upload videos of specific haircuts to show Ray, and he will give video feedback on what’s awesome and what can be improved

2- Twice monthly LIVE zooms where we will learn, answer questions, inspire, and make sure everyone is on track the way they want to be.

3- Our growing community is housed inside BOB University where you can ask for feedback from other stylists and Ray will also be answering questions and more in the community.
